We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Data Engineer to join our team and support the development and integration of AI, machine learning, and data processing initiatives across all departments.


Position Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer who will be responsible for building and managing a centralized data infrastructure to support the integration of AI, machine learning, and data processing in our Finance, HR, Marketing, Procurement, Estimating, Business Development, Operations, and Health & Safety departments. This role is crucial to our mission of streamlining data workflows, optimizing business processes, and fostering data-driven decision-making across all areas of the company.


Key Responsibilities:


Centralized Data Infrastructure: Design, build, and maintain a centralized data warehouse that integrates data from various sources (ERP, CRM, financial systems, IoT devices, safety monitoring systems, etc.).

Data Processing Pipelines: Develop and implement robust data pipelines for real-time data ingestion, transformation, and storage. Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across all integrated systems.

AI and Machine Learning Support: Collaborate with department heads to support the development and deployment of AI and machine learning models for predictive analytics, risk assessment, process optimization, and client engagement.

Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with data security standards. Manage access controls and establish data privacy protocols.

Cross-Departmental Integration: Establish data integration strategies that align with the company’s AI and machine learning initiatives in areas like employee performance management, client segmentation, sales forecasting, risk prediction, and safety monitoring.

Data Quality and Monitoring: Continuously monitor data quality and resolve issues. Implement proactive measures to maintain accurate and reliable data.

Real-Time Dashboards and Visualization: Develop dynamic dashboards that provide actionable insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), financial health, safety compliance, project status, and more.


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a proven track record of building and managing data infrastructures.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and ETL tools.

Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Strong understanding of data governance, security standards, and best practices.

Experience with AI and Machine Learning: Familiarity with AI/ML models and their integration into business processes is a strong asset.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
