We are seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at our Newport Beach office, who will focus on enhancing our identity verification system through advanced face detection and recognition technologies. This role involves refining algorithms for accurate user identification, deduplication, and verification. Beyond facial recognition, the position requires expertise in integrating multifaceted biometric features, including voice and fingerprint analysis, using cutting-edge machine learning techniques. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building a secure, efficient, and innovative verification platform.

Responsibility

• Develop and implement advanced machine learning and computer vision algorithms to address face detection and recognition or similar areas.
• Manage data collection, preprocessing, and augmentation processes to build robust training datasets.
• Train and optimize deep learning models using state-of-the-art techniques for high accuracy and performance.
• Work with software development teams to integrate AI models into user-facing applications.
• Deploy and maintain machine learning models on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), ensuring high availability and performance.
• Continuously evaluate and improve model performance based on real-world feedback and data.
• Research and implement cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Master or PhD's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on machine learning and computer vision, or related field
• 1-3 yrs+ Solid experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV)
• experience using one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Java, Golang, Rust, React, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, etc. （Or Ph.D. candidate with 3 ～ 5+ years of Academic Experience. ）
• Experience with cloud computing services and architectures for deploying and scaling AI models.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, capable of clearly presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and can-do attitude
• Ability to effectively articulate and drive solutions to technical and business challenges
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
• Experience working with driving product vision to deliver long-term customer and advertiser value
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Ph.D. in a related field with research or project experience in computer vision.
• Experience with real-time computer vision applications and edge computing.
• Contributions to open-source machine learning or computer vision projects.
