Machine Learning Engineer (18909)

Our client is relied upon by investors globally to oversee their investments by striving for the perfect equilibrium between risk and return. Although they are recognized for their groundbreaking work in systemic investing, they also possess proficiency in fields encompassing fundamental analysis or portfolio manager discretion. They are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning models and systems. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.

Machine Learning Engineer’s Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into machine learning problems.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data to prepare it for machine learning algorithms. This may involve data cleaning, feature engineering, and data transformation.
• Select, design, and implement machine learning algorithms and models that best address the problem at hand. Experiment with different algorithms and hyperparameters to optimize model performance.
• Train machine learning models using appropriate techniques such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, or reinforcement learning. Ensure that models generalize well to unseen data and perform robustly in real-world scenarios.

Machine Learning Engineer’s Qualifications and Skills

• Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or Spark MLlib.
• Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques, feature selection, and dimensionality reduction.
