- Design and build a new PowerBI workforce insights dashboard which consolidates HCM data metrics.
- Responsibilities will include project planning, stakeholder engagement, prototype design, testing, and release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to ensure alignment with business objectives and data reporting requirements.
- This includes collaboration with both technical and non-technical resources.
- Capture and maintain documentation of business and technical information, ensuring transparency and traceability.
- Develop training materials and strategies to enable end-users to effectively use the new dashboard.
- Provide training to the internal team as needed.
- Identify and escalate issues and risks as appropriate, and work to resolve them to ensure smooth project progression.
- Manage tasks, action items, and timelines for the project.
- Follow up on outstanding items and escalate as needed.
- Effectively communicate findings, insights, and project progress to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepare presentations and demonstrations for engagement with stakeholders.
- Ensure data governance and data quality practices are adhered to in the creation and maintenance of the new dashboard.
- Ensure that data security and privacy guidelines are followed in all aspects of the work.
- A consolidated, user- friendly dashboard which provides key workforce metrics and aligns with existing dashboards.
- Technical and business documentation, including an updated data warehouse data and definitions catalogue.
- Dashboard user guides.
- Status reports - weekly and monthly.
- The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: University graduation in business, management or a related discipline.
- 2 year Business Analyst (BA) experience.
- 2 year diploma in business, management or a related discipline.
- 4 year BA experience.
- 1 year certificate in business, management or a related discipline.
- 5 year BA experience; OR 6-yr BA experience
- Proposed resource has agreed to a Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Security Clearance prior to commencement.
- Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, and other information products for clients using BI/analytics software, including any or all: SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Investigator, MS Power BI, Tableau, Looker, R, Python. (4 Years)
- Experience in facilitating business workshops (5 Years).
- Experience in gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders across ministries or departments (5 Years).
- Experience with BI and advanced data analytics in an organization of equivalent size and complexity as the Government Sector (4 Years).
- Experience with Power BI reporting and SQL Server Analysis Services/Integration Services/Reporting Services (4 Years).
- Direct, hands-on experience performing business requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, and deployment related to data management, acquisition, preparation, quality and data lineage/provenance (5 Years).
- Experience dealing with clients and explaining complex data principles in a thoughtful manner.(5 Years).
- Experience in building analytical and quantitative analysis models (5 Years).
- Experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity (5 Years).
- Experience using human capital data for workforce analytics and reporting (2 Years).
- Experience working on enterprise applications, i.e., applications used by all or most departments in a large organization, rather than applications used by just one or a few departments (3 Years).
