Health Care Data Scientist
Foresight Health Solutions, LLC, an innovative AI-enabled, health risk management and equity analytics company, is seeking a full-time data science professional passionate about using data and cutting edge AI and machine learning methods to address health inequities, improve outcomes, and reduce complications for vulnerable communities.
Responsibilities:
In the role of healthcare data science and analytics manager, the candidate will be responsible for leading and growing our healthcare data analytics efforts for a wide range of healthcare clients across the United States. The selected candidate will be expected to work closely with our clients to develop analytic insights and solutions to allow for success in value-based healthcare models. Examples of specific activities that the candidate will be expected to perform include:
- Work with clients and internal experts to translate requirements into analytical models and output
- Efficiently perform exploratory healthcare data analysis with modern scalable tools
- Build and assess machine learned predictive models for statistical and domain-driven metrics
- Build effective descriptive models for multivariate, sparse spaces
- Develop simple yet elegant visualizations of analytics for healthcare executives and care staff
- Perform NLP analysis and model adaptation for targeted analysis of healthcare notes
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of work experience in a data science and healthcare analytics role
- Excellent statistical and data modeling skills, both in theory and practice
- Scripting skills for statistical purposes in Python or R (SPSS and/or SAS are helpful, too)
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred, Non-Mandatory Qualifications:
- MS in a technical, mathematical or data science field
- Hands-on experience with modern machine learning tools and techniques
- Experience working with healthcare data including EMR and claims data
- Team leadership and project management experience
