We are looking to add a Data Scientist to our team! This is a Full-Time position and work location is in Hartford, CT.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a strong research background to join our AI Squared team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting innovative research and applying logical thinking, reasoning, and algorithmic fluency to solve complex problems. You will work closely with clients to develop cutting-edge solutions using advanced AI/ML techniques and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and develop innovative solutions using AI/ML techniques, with a focus on logical thinking, reasoning, and algorithmic fluency.
• Work with Python and SQL to manipulate data and develop applications.
• Utilize strong database knowledge to handle large datasets and optimize data workflows.
• Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various formats, including PDF, Excel, and Word files.
• Develop and implement layout models and leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
• Integrate and work with REST APIs to enhance and deploy AI/ML models.
• Apply best practices in software development to create and maintain Python-based applications.
• Ensure clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders to align on project goals and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in data science or related fields,or 8 years with a Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Python programming and experience with SQL and general database management.
• Experience handling and processing data from various file formats (PDF, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of layout models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
• Experience using REST APIs for integrating and deploying AI/ML models.
• Strong experience in software development, particularly Python applications.
• Excellent coding practices and a solid understanding of software development life cycles.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
