Are you a skilled IT professional with a knack for data and machine learning seeking to take your career to the next level? If so, the Data Scientist role could be the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Data Scientist to be part of a lean team that builds, supports, and maintains forecasting, machine learning, and pricing algorithms. You will be a member of a team of technology professionals supporting our AI/ML Center of Excellence. The incumbent will contribute to cloud strategy and design, capacity management, and support activities for our organization.

What you can expect:

• Build and maintain forecasting & pricing models
• Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling
• Analyze large amounts of data to find patterns
• Build, develop and maintain mathematical models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
• Collaborate with business and IT teams
• Deliver updates to stakeholders in a clear manner and based on analytics
• Design and build technical processes to address business issues

What we are looking for:

• 8-10+ years of experience
• Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
• Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
• Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting usable data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
• Proficiency with common ML models such as Deep Learning, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, XGBoost, FacebookProphet
• Reinforcement Learning for price optimization
• Proficiency working in an AWS environment with Sagemaker notebook and building/deploying ML models and pipeline
• Ability to build mathematical models using OR techniques
• Familiarity with CPLEX, PyTorch, TensorFlow, ETL tools is a plus
• Experience working with Scikit-Learn, or Spark ML
• Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
• Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
• Knowledge and experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies a plus.
• Knowledge/experience in the Hospitality Industry a plus.
