JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and uncover actionable insights that drive innovation and growth. Initial focus will be developing a long-term strategy for intake, processing, and loading of acquisition data.

Employee will consistently be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others. Office settings are mild to moderate temperatures.

JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies and decision-making.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms for predictive analytics.
- Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into a usable format for analysis and modeling.
- Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses, evaluate model performance, and optimize algorithms.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and apply best practices to projects and initiatives.

Education, Training, Certifications:
- High school Diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, strongly preferred.
- 5+ years experience working as a data scientist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and experimental design.
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and experimental design.
- Proficiency in database management systems and SQL query language.
- Experience with Jitterbit is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to comply with SFPH’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
- Occasional travel required, up to 10%.
