POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data & Business Systems Analyst will support the business across a range of process & system improvements & data collection initiatives. The candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for using data to drive business insights. As part of that role, they will support the day-to-day management of reporting and be the business intelligence lead in numerous projects, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders. They will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, generating insights, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business growth and efficiency.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data & Business Systems Analyst will support the business across a range of process & system improvements & data collection initiatives. As part of that role, they will support the day-to-day management of reporting and be the business intelligence lead in numerous projects, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders. They will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, generating insights, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business growth and efficiency.
DUTIES:
DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING
- Analyze operational and commercial data and develop insights to drive business decisions, with a focus on financial and manufacturing accounting concepts
- Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders, with the ability to bridge business processes to the system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business initiatives and strategic projects, with a focus on both high-level and detailed analysis
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and business intelligence.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, with the ability to bridge business processes to the system and analytical insights
- Proactively examine current systems to pinpoint strengths, manage risks and identify weaknesses and support continuous improvement projects
- Analyze and troubleshoot ERP & CRM system issues reported by end users
- Provide a customer service/consultant type role in meeting directly with internal users to find out their related needs, address pain points
- Suggest and propose process improvements through the quality of reporting data
- Manage projects related to enhancement and implementation of core business systems
- Facilitate and function as a liaison between business and technical units and to design solutions to meet business requirements.
- Determine scope and prepare detailed requirements documents for tasks and projects up to high complexity to ensure scope and business requirements are understood and acceptable to all impacted areas
- Support the business to ensure division and corporate yearly targets are met.
- Participate in continuing professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences to obtain and maintain knowledge and skills related to the work performed
- Other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned
- Maintain a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety rules and regulations, and ensuring a culture of safety
- Ensure that the equipment and process operate efficiently and safely
- Cooperate with their employer for the purposes of protecting the health and safety of themselves as well as other workers either engaged or at the work site where the work is being carried out
- The health and safety of workers and others at the work site
- That the workers are aware of their health and safety responsibilities and duties
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering (Industrial, Computer), Business, Math, or similar Analytical Field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Strong Analytical and reporting skills
- Previous experience in Manufacturing - preferred
- Previous experience using SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
- Previous experience using ERP and CRM systems - preferred
- Strong experience using Microsoft Excel
