Business Systems Analyst (Data Warehouse)


Apex Systems is a large staffing and consulting firm and we are looking for a Business Systems Analyst with SQL skills in a data warehouse environment (Hadoop/Netezza/AWS), data mapping/modeling, experience gathering requirements and full SDLC experience to place at our client, a large Financial Institution.

Client: Big Five Bank

Contract: 6-month rolling contract (potential for extension up to 2 years)

Location: In-Office downtown 1-2 times/week

Key Qualifications:

  • Technical business analysis skills: strong Excel and SQL Data analysis skills and data investigation experience
  • Experience utilizing both Jira and Confluence
  • 5+ years experience working as a BSA in a Data Warehouse or Data Analytics team
  • Experience working with development teams, QA teams, and business stakeholders to drive project delivery
  • Experience with data mapping, data transformation and SQL queries
  • Knowledge of Hadoop or Netezza
  • Knowledge of AWS S3 and/or Redshift environment
  • Strong understanding of full SDLC and gathering requirements
  • Experience in banking is a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
