Desired Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience leading and conducting business and system analysis to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and document the business/system requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be designed.
- Experience conducting business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects, including screen specifications, business rules, data migration requirements, etc.
- Proven experience in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Proven experience in conducting business and system analysis in respect to building data marts/data warehouses/data lakehouse or Business Intelligence/Data Analytics and Reporting solutions
- Demonstrated experience working as a business analyst in large/complex data migration projects.
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as PowerBI
- Basic knowledge of SQL language; ability to execute SQL queries.
- Understanding of concepts around ETL, data quality, data cleaning, data issues’ handling.
- Experience in conducting business and system analysis for a Dynamics 365 CE and/or F&O solution or other CRM/ERP solutions
- Experience creating use cases, test plans, test cases, test scripts ideally around reporting and/or data migration
- Experience with defect management processes, defect identification, logging, tracking, and resolution.
- Familiarity with industry-standard quality assurance practices, such as ISO standards, CMMI, or Agile methodologies
- Experience consulting and coordinating between Business Areas and the IT Development and Testing teams to clarify business requirements and translating them into system requirements
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills; proven gap analysis experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and build strong working relationships
- Demonstrated experience with writing user stories and using tools such as DevOps.
Deliverables:
As a member of the data migration and reporting team, you will be responsible to build and deliver modernized reports from the new Data Warehouse/Lakehouse and assist with the data migration from the existing legacy applications to the new Dynamics 365 solution.
- Lead and conduct business and system analysis in respect to building the golden layer of the data lakehouse and modernized reports in PowerBI..
- Lead the effort into defining the reporting MVP; document legacy reports in scope of MVP; conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations.
- Document report requirements in user stories in DevOps. Conduct analysis at varying levels of detail, appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with OPS standards
- Liaise between Business Areas and the data migration and reporting team, to clarify business requirements and translate them into system and reporting requirements
