Our client works in partnership with the private and non-profit sectors, provincial health authorities and ministries, other levels of government and community groups to develop a range of housing options.
Your Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support our client’s efforts to modernize our business intelligence and analytics reporting platforms. These efforts include assessing the current state of reporting and analytics within our client’s organization, working with business areas and IMT stakeholders to understand our client’s reporting and analytics needs. The successful candidate will work with the Data Analytics & Integration team in IMT to deliver an Analytics and BI framework document, will develop plans to support analytics transformation efforts and will also present updates and findings to project stakeholders and IMT leadership on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver Analytics & BI framework document that outlines the plan and approach for analytics/BI transformation at our client
• Develop documentation to support analytics transformation efforts, including high level project execution plans and analytics/BI model diagrams.
• Prepare and present findings to project stakeholders and IMT leadership.
• Recommend reporting and analytics best practices and standards.
• Perform assessment of current reporting platforms at our client’s organization
• Complete review of current reporting areas and inventory at our client’s organization
• Evaluate and recommend suitable target replacement analytics and reporting options based on current and projected needs.
• Work with business areas to identify and document their analytics and reporting use cases.
• Work with IMT to identify potential skill and capability gaps and upskilling opportunity
What You’ll Need to Succeed
5-10 years of business analysis, particularly in analytic and BI areas
• Experience working on approach and planning for analytics/BI transformation projects
• Experience working with and evaluating various BI, analytics and reporting platforms
• Excellent written and spoken skills
• Excellent business relationship skills and experience working with a wide range of business areas
• Excellent presentation skills and experience with presenting to leadership audiences
• A self-starter and a team player
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
• Demonstrated superior analytical, problem solving and judgement skills
• Ability to learn and quickly comprehend technical and business concepts
• Experience with master data management and data model analysis
