BI Analyst
Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a BI Analyst in AML with (Cognos, and Tableau) experience who will be responsible for providing business technical leadership across a broad range of information management functions to support the various areas of data and analytics within our client. The successful candidate will work independently as a Senior Lead and may manage and direct activities related to analysis, design and support of business data management solutions on various projects ranging up to larger projects. The ideal candidate will be considered a subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge and expertise, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and fluency in one or two programming languages.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects of moderately to complex risk and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programs
- In-depth experience working with very large datasets and familiarity with big data technologies
- Keep abreast of rapid business and technology innovation within business information management field
- Familiar with visualization tools
- Analyze, design, and develop data repositories, warehouses and marts, data movement, data wrangling, data mapping and transformation (ETL) processes
- Support solutions, applications, platforms, and/or tools that are leveraged across all functional groups (e.g., Data Scientists, Business Insights & Analytics, etc.)
- May also be responsible for developing sophisticated data preparation frameworks and architecture to create or modify data features for consumption by Data Scientists
- Support data modeling capabilities in order to structure business data to be consumed/translated into a variety of novel capacities
- Support business teams in the use and understanding of the data and reporting solutions
- Develop data road map/information management strategies and corresponding technical solutions for integrating, transforming, and/or managing data
- Drive data-centric solution development focusing on complex data integration
- Adopt the Enterprise Data model in alignment with direction from the OCDO and other data & analytics functional groups
- Solicit, analyze, and understand data requirements (i.e., using market research, requirements gathering, feature planning, user experience/design considerations, etc.) to enable the development of information management solutions
Desired Skill-Set:
- 5 to 7 years of Oracle OAS report development experience, along with RPD maintenance
- 5 to 7 years of experience with BI Reporting Tools (e.g. Cognos) or Reporting interfaces for data-driven analysis
- 5 to 7 years of experience using computer applications including MS Office
- 5 to 7 years of knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports ( Cognos/Tableau)
- 5 to 7 years of experience using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
- 5 years of experience with Databases, and reporting tools (including Tableau)
- 5 years of experience with ETL
- 5 years of experience with OAS (OBIEE) RPD Management
- 7 years of experience with Oracle
