Salary Grade: N06 From: $77,627.00

Job Summary:

Play a pivotal role in the analysis of data, interpretation of statistical findings, and the development of data-driven insights to support critical business decisions, help improve strategic initiatives, WSIB outcomes, efficiencies and individual employee performance. Working closely with Statisticians, the responsibility will include data collections, cleaning, analysis and reporting. The role will also engage in providing key corporate metrics for internal senior management and external committees. The analytical thinking and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring that data is transformed into valuable insights, thus facilitating informed decision making.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports and documentation summarizing trends, patterns and anomalies for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create clear and informative data visualizations using tools like R, Python, SAS or specialized software. Present findings in a visually understandable manner.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and other analysts to address analytical challenges. Gather and compile data from various sources, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and well-organized.
  • Address ad-hoc analytical questions and requests that may arise from various departments or external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest analytical techniques, tools, and best practice in the industry.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle complex data-related challenges and select appropriate statistical mythologies.
  • Present statistical findings and insights in clear and understandable terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Job Requirements:

Minimum Level Required

  • BSc Statistics / Mathematics / Finance / Risk Management, or a related field
  • Experience:

Minimum Level Required

  • 2-4 years related experience such as:
    • Credit risk modelling
    • Time series modelling
    • SQL/R/Python programming
    • Risk management
    • Data visualization
