Job Description

• Candidate Must be fluent in French.
• We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI and machine learning, with expertise in model building and a proficiency in Python coding.
• The role will involve working on advanced natural language processing (NLP) tasks, leveraging large language models (LLMs), and implementing cutting-edge techniques such as reinforcement learning and prompt engineering.
• Additionally, the candidate should have experience with DevOps practices, managing APIs, and handling large datasets in distributed computing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement AI and machine learning models for various applications, with a focus on natural language processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work directly with large language models (LLMs) and apply advanced techniques such as reinforcement learning and prompt engineering.
• Debug and optimize algorithms, build APIs, and manage the algorithm flow across multiple workstreams in one repository.
• Handle and process large datasets using distributed computing systems such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and apply them to enhance existing projects and develop new solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure project success by demonstrating strong work ethics, dedication, and problem-solving skills.
• Foster a collaborative environment by efficiently sharing code and knowledge with team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI and machine learning, with a focus on model building.
• Proficiency in Python coding and familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• 3+ years of experience in natural language processing (NLP), including text classification, re-ranking, and topic modeling.
• Experience working directly with large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and GPT 3.5.
• Strong understanding of advanced AI techniques such as reinforcement learning, prompt engineering, and hallucination mitigation.
• Experience with DevOps practices, debugging, building APIs, and managing algorithm flow across multiple workstreams in one repository.
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong work ethics, dedication to project success, and collaborative behavior.

Plusses:

• Experience with transformer-based architectures such as BERT, RoBERTa, and T5.
• Knowledge of recent large language models (LLMs) including OPT and BLOOM.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
• Proven track record of efficient code sharing and collaboration within a team environment.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $140,000- $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
