Data Engineer
We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our DataOps team.
As our first ever Data Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines on GCP. If you are looking for a role with a wide scope, in a small team, in which you actually get a say regarding the future of our SaaS products, this is the position for you!
Your day to day will be focused on
- Designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines using GCP services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and BigTable.
- Creating architecture diagrams for effective communication and documentation.
- Implementing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Driving innovation and best practices in data engineering within the team. This is your chance to take on a leadership role.
You will need
- Over 3 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on GCP.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services, particularly BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- GCP certifications (ideally)
