Bioinformatics Scientist (Biotechnology)

Job Summary: Develop and apply computational tools to analyze complex biological data. This role requires a blend of expertise in biology, computer science, and statistics to extract meaningful information from large genomic datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine bioinformatics algorithms and tools to support genomic, proteomic, and other omics data analysis.
• Collaborate with molecular biologists and geneticists to design experiments and analyze biological data.
• Manage and curate large datasets, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences to contribute to scientific community knowledge.
• Stay updated on latest bioinformatics tools and methodologies to enhance analysis capabilities.
  
  

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Perl and familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience with genomic data analysis tools (e.g., BLAST, Bioconductor) and database management.
• Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets and complex computational analyses.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong collaboration skills.
• Experience in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
