Software Tools Engineer

• Actalent is looking too hire a Software Tools Engineer for one of our largest Automotive clients.*
• Description:* The successful candidate will be part of the Network Node team involved in the delivery of software solutions to validate latest vehicle network technologies.
  
  

You will work alongside the automation architect, design & implement some of the foundational software components and tools used in automation.

You will also provide guidance to team members on proper automation test library and test script development.

• Responsibilities:*
• Taking a lead role in the development of advanced automated testing solution.
  
  

This includes testing framework and tools, and test libraries that interface with vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) which are consumed by internal and external teams.

• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability
• Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
• Actively participate in code reviews and provide coaching to fellow team members on automation practice

• Qualifications:*
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained.
  
  

If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)

• 8+ year experience in test automation and software tools development
• 3+ year experience in Python development and object-oriented design
• Experience Level:* Expert Level
