Job Description
Trade Surveillance Technical Analyst role will be responsible for assisting with the technology planning, delivery and embedding of a new third-party Trade Surveillance solution in US/EMEA. The successful candidate will be able to leverage their expertise with relevant international regulations such as MAD/MAR and the regulatory environment within capital markets. The candidate should have broad experience in technology delivery, ideally including the implementation of third-party and cloud-hosted solutions. The role will also cover tactical enhancements to existing solutions and rationalization of the trade surveillance estate, there may also be opportunities to work across other surveillance solutions.
The position will form part of Data Engineering team working with the local Compliance function and within a global technology team, largely based in the US. The candidate will be expected to contribute to vendor management and liaise with vendor staff located in the US and UK. The scope of this role will be focused on EMEA deployment but the system will be rolled out globally and so the role will also require to understand and factor in global requirements.
The candidate will be required to ensure that the project complies with all company policies regarding the management of third-party solutions, Information Security and the Software Development Lifecycle. The candidate should have strong experience working in an Agile environment and have excellent business analysis, communication, and organizational skills. The role will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements.

- Banking, Compliance experience and good understanding of Trade Life cycle
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Writing complex SQL queries & understanding of DBs like Oracle, SQL & big data platforms
