Job Description


The Data Analyst position is on the Care Management Analytics team and will be responsible for the processes surrounding external client and 3rd party vendor healthcare data ingestion. Responsibilities include procurement of various healthcare data elements spanning medical, lab, pharmacy, biometrics, eligibility and more; take ingested information and ensure configuration and conformance of new and existing client; remediation of all files from legacy processes to production Google Cloud Platform environment. Candidate must have the ability to comprehend and articulate data requirements, leverage proprietary tool to map files and fields into Enterprise Data Ingestion platform. Serve as a subject matter expert ensuring data scientists, data engineers, and data operations can understand and utilize the ingested data and the data models supporting the ingestion processes to achieve product contracted deliverable. Additional job duties include data mining, validation and retrieval, audit and data reconciliation, interacting with vendors, and internal collaborators and working with others to effectively manage the workflow and meet production commitments. Team members in this position should have sufficient technical ability to utilize an internal tool for mapping and SQL/Big Query to perform data validation.


Pay Range


The typical pay range for this role is:


Minimum: $ 43,700


Maximum: $ 100,000


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications


Experience with the following:


  • 1 - 2 + years of experience utilizing SQL/Big Query to validate data ingest processes, the framework, pipelines, and linking to reference data including the ability to write, read, develop, inner/outer joins ..etc.
  • Data mining experience.
  • Clinical Claims Data (Medical, Lab, Pharmacy).
  • Data Mapping (File, field, attributes).
  • Secure File Transfer Protocol (client faced/automate).
  • Negotiations with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with ETL in large datasets.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Architecture Data models.
  • End to End SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Healthcare terminology.
  • 1 - 2+ years of experience working with Big data platforms within GCP/Cloud based relation databases that can support petabytes of data.
  • Requirements Documentation - Drafting/Communicating/Translating/advocating.


Excellent written and oral communication skills.


  • User Interface configuration Tool – Ownership, Working verification of configurations within the UI tool.


Education


  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience.
